Can you work with tracks I’ve recorded at home?
Yes, of course. Many artists build great songs at home but want help pulling it together – this is when you get in touch with Steven Harris Music.
If you’re starting from scratch, Steven can work with you to build, record and mix your song from the ground up.
What is your core service?
The heart of Steven’s service is music production, to help make a great song as big and beautiful as it can sound.
This involves listening to your ideas, discussing options, creating accompaniment and guiding you through recording vocals
Can you produce or mix my song remotely?
We’d love to work with you remotely for any of the services where you don’t have to be in the room.
Should I bring my own instruments?
Absolutely! If it helps, we can discuss your instrument in advance to be ready for it on the day.
What should I do to prepare?
All recording and production sessions go better when you have rehearsed the song and you know what you need to do in the studio.
Of course, sometimes things change along the way, but it’s more effective to know what you want out of the session.
Can you find session musicians for me?
Steven will be happy to help you find session musicians to contribute to your recording. You can enter into separate agreements with them to play on your song.
Where is the studio located?
Steven Harris Music is located in beautiful Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula – it’s an easy drive from Melbourne.
What gear do you have in your studio?
The studio is an acoustically well-treated room and vocal booth, with up to 16 tracks of simultaneous recording in a Mac environment.
We have a range of mics and mic preamps to suit various needs.
There is a range of high quality instruments and amps available to use as well as excellent monitoring capabilities.
